Bali

Bali is an Indonesian island, the westernmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands, lying between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. It is also the largest tourist destination in the country and is renowned for its highly developed arts. There are major coastal roads and those that cross the island mainly north-south. Due to the mountainous terrain in the island’s center, the roads tend to follow the crests of the ridges across the mountains. There are no railway lines. The island is surrounded by coral reefs. Beaches in the south tend to have white sand while those in the north and west have black sand.

Bali Island, the perfect holiday destination for all ages offers something for everyone. This tropical paradise has a unique blend of modern tourist facilities combined with wonderful shopping and a rich past and heritage. The Balinese people are proud of having preserved their unique Hindu culture against the advance of Islam, the dominant religion throughout Indonesia. Bali Island is a shopper’s paradise particularly for casual and tailored clothing, locally made jewellery, handicrafts, antiques and artifacts.

The island of Bali is blessed with the line of beaches surrounding it. Sanur, Kuta and Legian, Jimbaran, Soka Beach, and Lovina Beach are some of the beaches in and around Bali.
Beaches in the south has white sand and the beaches in the north have black sand. Off late the Black sand beaches are being developed for tourism. Tourism is the largest industry with agriculture.
